How To Decorate The Coffee Table For The Holidays
How to decorate the coffee table for the holidays now that Thanksgiving is over!
Thanksgiving is over and today is the day to start decorating your living room for the holidays if you haven’t already. As you know, I’ve already started decorating but it’s primarily so that I can have these ideas to share with you. I used to wait until the day after Thanksgiving to decorate, but the day kept moving up as the years passed. For day 10 of A Very Global Christmas, Kathy of Up To Date Interiors and I are sharing decorating ideas for the holiday. Be sure to visit Up To Date Interiors for tips on styling a vignette after you see how to decorate the coffee table for the holidays before.
Bohemian Holiday Decorating
I love to create vignettes, or small decor collections, to fill up spaces. They can have a theme, color story, or vibe to finish the look of a space. There are a few things to keep in mind as you create your coffee table decor, but otherwise you should have fun decorating your table for the holidays.
Keep it Tight
Having your collection of holiday trinkets tightly organized creates an eye pleasing look. Use a tray house some of your collection when decorating a coffee table, especially when you have a large table.
Don’t forget Height
Having various heights to your table decor also helps create a collected look. Use stacks of books or boxes to extend the eye upward from the table. Christmas books, festive boxes, and beautiful colored glass bowls work great for creating height. Have at least 1 item to serve as the tallest component on your table. I used my kids Advent tree!
Incorporate your Holiday Crafts
Top off your stacks with festive holiday decor like floral vases, ornaments, or festive holiday decor. This is a wonderful way to incorporate all those holiday crafts you made. I used my diy tribal spools and the jewelry decorated vase I shared during day 8 of the Very Global Christmas series to tie my look together.
Have fun creating your coffee table decor this holiday season. Vignettes can make your entire space come together for the season. Share your holiday coffee table decor or any of your projects created as a result of A Very Global Christmas with me on Instagram or Facebook by posting a picture and tagging @casawatkinsblog! You may see it featured on my social media.
