Quick Entryway Refresh Reveal

A modern boho style quick entryway refresh with walls, doors, and trim painted the same color!

One day! That’s how long it took me to complete this quick entryway refresh! I’m joining Jewel of Jeweled Interiors for her Sanity Check Refresh this week along with some great other design bloggers. Last week, I shared the before pictures and some of the entryway refresh ideas I wanted to do last week. Unfortunately, we went very heavy with the school work this past week so I had limited time to work on the refresh. Luckily, this quick entryway makeover was easy to complete in a day! I shared the experience on my Instagram, did you see it? If you aren’t following my Instagram, you can access the account here.

Here is what the entryway looked like before. It was bland and stuck in 2015 when greige was the popular go-to paint color.

It’s gone through a series of changes over the years, but it has never been something I truly appreciated…..until now! It’s amazing what a can of paint will do. I’m loving how bold and artistic the entryway looks now.

I opted to create an entryway that highlighted art, family, and style. By painting the walls, trim, and doors the same color, they become a backdrop for all the colorful art and family photos.

Everything pops when the walls become the canvas for the gallery wall. Plus, it makes the small entryway seems larger too! I used leftover Behr Alice White paint from my living room 3D wall. Still not sure why it’s called Alice White when it’s definitely a light blue.

The new runner adds even more color and also ties in the dining room color scheme. Since the first floor is pretty much open all around (I wouldn’t say open concept…but it’s pretty close!), it’s important to continue a similar color scheme throughout the first floor. It was hard to get the right rug when the entryway curves, but having this 6ft runner at the garage door entryway was such a necessity.

I’m still waiting on some new lighting and wall hangers for the backpacks, but for now I am overjoyed with the results! Unfortunately, now that the entryway is all done I’m looking at those outdated stairs. Ugh! The stairs are in drastic need of an update ASAP! I still need to finish the wallpaper on the other side of the dining room, but this newest change to our home is such a refreshing upgrade during this social isolation time. It’s great to see something new when we’ve been seeing the same spaces non-stop for weeks.
