Quick Entryway Refresh Ideas

While we are all cooped up indoors for the Coronavirus, a few friends and I opted to do a bit of home refreshing for the next two weeks! People, including me, can get a bit anxious staying indoors for a prolonged amount of time. I get cabin fever rather quickly unless I’m doing something. So, I decided to tackle some home projects that have been pushed off for a bit. Cue the Sanity Check Refresh hosted by Jewel of Jeweled Interiors. First up…. the entryway! Here are some of the quick entryway refresh ideas I’ll be tackling this week.

Paint the wall and trim the same color

I’ve been thinking of refreshing the entryway for a while now and came up with some quick entryway refresh ideas a few months ago. I know I want to paint the full entryway (walls and trim) the amazing light blue color from the living room 3D wall. I was inspired by this stunning entryway photo and knew I wanted to create the look in my own home.

Wallpaper for the entryway

Wallpaper can add instant pizazz to an entryway. We have wallpaper in our dining room, but I’d like to continue the wallpaper to the other side of our entryway wall. It’s a bit weird since the wall faces the dining room, but the open area is also the entryway. Wallpaper truly has been one of my favorite ways to refresh a space. I recently added wallpaper on the ceiling of my office and I adore it!

Entryway art and wall hooks

Art work is a staple in our home and I love creating my own. If time is on my side, I’d like to add some picture ledges to the main entryway wall and wall hooks to the garage entry area to mix a gallery wall with some function. Wall hooks can be used for the kids’ backpacks and to hang some art too. Having an organized entryway is a must now. No more backpacks and coats on the floor. Nope! Not up in here!

Check back next week for the reveal of the quick entryway refresh! Hopefully, I’ll be able to share some of the progress on Instagram. Be sure you’re following me @CasaWatkinsBlog to see the latest on the refresh.

Be sure to check with the other participants of the Sanity Check Refresh! We will reveal our spaces next week. When I said quick refresh, I meant it!
