I had been collecting a few of the yogurt glass jars for the day an idea would strike me. Well, the day finally came and I’m loving how these upcycled jar Easter baskets have turned out. The upcycled Easter baskets make great containers for Easter sweets or use as candle votives. They would look super cute as decor on your Easter table too.

If you have been in the house the last week dealing with the social distancing imposed by the Coronavirus then this diy Easter craft is just for your! I didn’t need to buy anything and simply used items I had around the house.

To create your own upcycled jar Easter baskets, grab those recyclable glass jars, paint, brushes, and wire. Use quick paint strokes to create simple Scandi patterns around your glasses. I loved creating little leaves using short brush strokes. I used the same technique to create little florals on the second jar. It’s a set!

Once your jars are dry, use the floral wire to create the basket handle. The handle should be made of a few wrapped pieces of wire and then create a loop on both ends. Use another piece of wire to thread through the handle loops and wrap around the jar. Wrap around at least twice before twisting the excess wire.

Fill your new upcycled Easter baskets with votive candles, candy, or flowers for a cute addition to your Easter table. These little Easter baskets also make great gifts for your guests! I’m thinking they would look cute across our mantel too. Any ideas of where you’d use them?
