Although pumpkins are one of my favorite seasonal items, I try not to go pumpkin crazy throughout the house. Sometimes, you want to have the warm touches of fall without the use of pumpkins. Today, I’m sharing my pumpkin-less global style fall entryway decorating ideas!

Normally, my seasonal decorating kicks off in the entryway or family room. There was a big delay in my decorating and fall projects all due to the non-stop rain lasting weeks here in Maryland. Rain is such a buzz kill when you want to photograph light filled spaces. Now that the rain has gone away…I hope for at least a few weeks… I’m continuing the fall casa-keeping. The entryway table will be undergoing some changes really soon, but in the meantime I’m loving how rustic unfinished look of the table complements these fall global style items.

I nearly collapsed in HomeGoods when I saw this Indonesian tribal necklace on a stand. I’ve wanted something like this for a while and never seem to find one that is reasonably priced. The HomeGoods one was priced pretty good at about $40. The feathers and shells also have a sophisticated Halloween flair for those of us who don’t like to do gore or scary Halloween decorating.

I wanted to balance the height of the feathered Indonesian neckpiece with these awesome painted Indian wooden boxes. Natural wood finishes for fall is always a must. The painted markings look awesome against the pewter metal mirror from World Market. You can use the boxes to store keys, your mail, little trinkets, or whatever your heart desires. Find unique ways to incorporate globally inspired wooden crates, natural boxes, or raw wood frames this season. I also have a cool cattle horn thats mounted on a brass stand. Not made out of wood, but still incorporates a natural element to the table.

As always, blankets are always a great decor piece for the fall and winter months. I snagged this large woven basket at HomeGoods and placed some pillows and a purple Mexican serape blanket. Do you ever think, “why do people place a blanket in an entryway?” I did for a while until one day I needed to warm the kiddies up after playing out in the cold weather. Hello quick and easy blanket. Toss a diy tassel decor over a pillow for a little bohemian touch.

Don’t forget the plants! Cement planters and hobnob milk glass are great for adding texture to your entryway table. Either create your own diy faux concrete vase or snag a few at a local home improvement shop. I’m feeling more plants than florals this season, so a small petite bouquet is about how far I’m going on this entryway table.
