The New Year, New Room Refresh Challenge

Do you ever want to start the year with a brand new space?

Every New Year’s eve, I tell myself that I will definitely makeover that one space that has been a little neglected or ignored the previous year. For years I kept putting it off hoping that I’d have the time to do it later.

Well, I’ve learned that the space or room will NEVER be done unless I give myself a deadline! So, the New Year New Room Refresh Challenge began as a way to make sure that I accomplished at least one of those room refreshes. It felt wonderful to finally check off one of my to-do things and even better to begin the New Year with a beautiful, refreshed space.

What’s The Challenge About?

Each year, I’ve challenged a few of my blogger friends to take on the New Year New Room Refresh challenge with me. We share our room plans, progress, and reveal the refreshed spaced at the end of each January. The aim is to finish one space in January to kick off your motivation to complete refreshes or makeovers on other spaces throughout the year. Follow my own room refresh journey and those of my blogger friends each Tuesday during the month of January.

How Can I Participate?

This journey becomes even better with friends to cheer you on! I’m happy to open this challenge to everyone so that we can all support each other on this fun journey. Participation is very easy and you can participate even if you don’t have a blog! Simply share your progress each Tuesday during the month of January using the hashtag #NewYearNewRoomChallenge on social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc where ever you’d like to share). Invite your friends to join in as well to keep each other motivated this month! Painting parties, DIY help, and furniture shopping is always fun with a buddy.

Is There A Schedule of Posts?

All participants are open to share any type of progress made in their room refresh using the hashtag #newyearnewroomchallenge. You can share photos showing your room progress, a DIY project completed in your room, decor items you have purchased for your room, or any other post idea regarding your room. Official participants will share their progress on their blogs each Tuesday, so be sure to visit these blogs for more motivation and inspiration.
