How To Make Canvas Art From A Digital Image

We have a big appreciation of art in my home.  Whether from an artist collection or our own DIY art, we love to show it off.  You have probably seen several free download and print artwork on the internet, including the free print I offer to subscribers that you can receive here.  However, you can actually create canvas art from digitally created art too!  If you don’t enjoy painting on canvas, you can create digital images that can be printed on canvas instead.

I collaborated with Canvas Factory to create an original canvas art for Chi-Chi’s room.  After sharing how easy it is to create canvas art, you can actually try it for yourself!  At the end of this post, enter to win a FREE 16×20 Canvas Factory art print coupon to create your own art!  If you prefer to recreate mine, you can download the Nesting Doll art from here.  See other suggested canvas art ideas at the end of this post as well.

The first step is to create your digital art.  I used a stock image of a nesting doll, which I altered to fit my desired look.  I used a 16×20” blank page in Canva to create a collage of nesting dolls, but you can use any digital image creator you like.  Have fun covering the digital canvas with your image.  You can also leave the image as a single subject art piece, if you prefer.  Don’t worry, I’ll get to explaining why my canvas art doesn’t look like the image below.

Upload your image to CanvasFactory.com and make any other desired alterations.  There are many neat features to play with on Canvas Factory.  You can alter the size and color of your art as well as apply cool effects!  I decided to give my art a red hue instead of keeping the colors of my original print.  I knew I was going to hang this art in Chi-Chi’s room and the red/pink hues would look great against her lilac walls.

Once you have your desired look, submit your order and wait for your masterpiece to arrive.  I was pleasantly surprised to see the high quality of the canvas print and the details of my art really shined!  It was definitely true to the online preview.  The canvas art also comes with a hanging bracket so you can hang it up immediately when it arrives.

The great thing about Canvas Factory is that you can also use photos to create quality artwork as well!  Have a super cute picture you want hanging in your home?  You can upload it to Canvas Factory and create a canvas art.  If you’re not feeling digital art, create a handmade collage of photos and scan it into Canvas Factory.  Or, for my painting friends, scan your own paintings and have it recreated on canvas.

Now that you know how to create your own canvas art with Canvas Factory, try it for yourself!  One lucky winner will be able to try it for FREE.  Enter this giveaway to receive a FREE 16×20” canvas art of your own artwork.  Which art do you think you’d use Canvas Factory for?  Do you prefer photography, digital, typography, or painted art?
