Global Bohemian Holiday Decor Ideas For The Living Room
Try these global bohemian holiday decor ideas for the living room for a colorful, festive Christmas!
It’s day 11 of A Very Global Christmas series and today Kathy of Up To Date Interiors and I are joining Carrie of Lovely Etc. in a Very Merry Christmas Home Tour hop! All week long, bloggers are opening their doors to share Christmas decorating inspiration. Be sure to visit each day as new blogger homes will be added every day this week.
Since our home is still in quite a bit of disarray from the renovations, our family room and sunroom/playroom have become the places to be…..well pretty much the only places to be. Today, I’m taking you into my family/living room for global bohemian holiday decor ideas! Welcome to those coming over from Our House Now A Home! Emily has a cool, serene coastal take on Christmas doesn’t she!?
Global Bohemian Holiday Decor Ideas
This Christmas, I’ve decided to take a colorful, tropical theme inspired by our recent trip to the Dominican Republic. I started with our tropical boho Christmas tree and progressed from there. Here are 3 global bohemian style holiday ideas you can incorporate too!
Incorporate Seasonal Touches In Colored Glass
I’m always a fan of any colored glass regardless of the season. Winter decor colors can be overwhelming neutral at times. Incorporating pops of color using colorful glass can be a refreshing break. I found these beautiful colored vases at Target that blended well with my gold tone frames and diy boho picture frame wreath. Plus, they tie in the vibrant colors from the Christmas tree!
Upgrade Your Stockings
Love those stockings you’re seeing at the store, but want to make it your own? Upgrade your stockings easily with global textiles and beads! I ordered a few fabric samples in African textiles and tied them to stockings from the Hearth and Hand line at Target. Add wood beads or tassels for extra flair.
Foliage, Foliage, and Foliage
No bohemian home is complete without some sort of botanical. This holiday, incorporate botanical foliage in unexpected places around your home. I placed a couple of pothos leaves in glass vases on the mantel as well as our coffee table. I’m getting an early start on my spring botanicals by growing them in the winter.
There are even leaves on our Christmas tree! Palm leaves were used throughout the tree for a tropical vibe and I also incorporated my diy plant propagation ornaments to have live leaves on the tree!
I hope that you get creative with your Christmas decor this year and incorporate these global bohemian holiday decor ideas!
