If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably have seen my feed full of green decor and accents. I recently noticed that each photo regardless if it was a plant, my curtains, table decor, or any other home accent had an element of green in it! I promise I didn’t do this on purpose!! Everyone has a color they tend to gravitate to and evidently mine is green. Have you noticed a color theme in your home, Instagram, or Pinterest photos? Since green is so prominent in my home style, I thought it would be fun to review 20 ways I decorate with the color green.
Decorating with Green Walls and Accents
These green curtains a signature in my living room. Despite my multiple threats to take these green curtains down, I seem to keep these curtains around every season. I simply can’t part with them! Liven your walls and rooms with these ways to decorate with the color green.
My recent makeover of Chi-Chi’s room turned her girly nursery into a global boho girl’s room full of green banana leaves! I still can’t get over this beautiful wallpaper designed by my design idol Justina Blakeney of The Jungalow. If you don’t have wallpaper, you can always stencil your wall as I did my entryway.
I’ve even attempted to incorporate leafy greens in my dining room with green accent curtains from Ikea. Though these didn’t last long in this room, I’m still searching for a new home for these beauties.
Decorating with Green Accessories
If you consider plants an accessory, then check out all the times I’ve used plants to give my spaces a boost of green. If you don’t consider it an accessory….well, take a look anyway! 🙂 A small plant can bring an organic touch to any corner of your home. Sometimes, I like adding even more plants to create an alfresco feel indoors. You could also bring the outdoors inside using a green garden stool or green fruits like apples and pears.
