Ornament Tree

Ornament trees stands are a great way to showcase vintage or special ornaments you have at home. They typically are made of a simple wire or wooden structure formed into a tree shape with the single purpose to hang ornaments. But, what about all those extra, not so special, ornaments? Well, I have the solution for you friend! I created this DIY ornament tree luminary to use all those extra ornaments you may have that aren’t grandma’s vintage ornament set.

I love that you can customize the look to suit your Christmas theme this year, plus create several versions of this DIY Christmas craft for a very affordable price…..as in nearly zero costs! If you don’t happen to have these supplies on hand, you can shop the materials from Amazon, which normally includes more than one of these supplies. Or, you can find these materials at your local dollar store, Target, or Walmart.

How to make a DIY Ornament Tree Luminary

Before starting your ornament tree luminary, be sure to have a plan of how you’d like your ornaments to be arranged. Have fun creating different styles of ornament luminaries by mixing ornament colors, finishes, or sizes! There is no wrong way of creating your own ornament tree. The only stipulation is that your ornaments should form a tree shape by reducing the ornaments in each row by 1 until you get to the top of the tree.
