How to hang decorations from vinyl siding to make your deck or patio more welcoming!
When it came to decorating our modern bohemian deck, I knew I wanted to hang items from the siding to make it seem much more homey. Two things that always make a space look welcoming or homey are wall treatments like curtains/decor along with area rugs.

Wall treatment… definitely needed.
How to Hang Decorations From Vinyl Siding
I’ve been thinking a lot about what to use for the siding that wouldn’t damage it. The last thing I need is to break something and dish out more money to fix it. So when I came across these vinyl siding hooks on Amazon, I was ecstatic!
The process of installing these little vinyl hooks is super duper easy and you get a good amount in a bag. To install a vinyl siding hook, use the curved edge to wrap the hook to the underside of the siding. You don’t have to push too hard, but you may use your free hand to gently lift the siding to allow the hook to be inserted.
The hook should lay flat against the siding when installed properly. Each of these hooks hold 5lbs and you may need more than one if you have a slightly heavier decor pieces or planters. A wall of planters would look amazing on a deck!
My next outdoor project has got to be doing something with that outdoor lamp. Especially now that I have the deck all decorated for summer and these pretty wall baskets on the wall. You can see how I made the diy woven basket wall hanging if you’re interested in hanging one on your deck too. It definitely gives the deck that boho vibe I want.
Now that you’ve see how I used these awesome vinyl siding hooks, how would you use some to decorate your deck or patio? Check out my full boho deck refresh if you missed it. I’d love to see your deck or patio too! Share in the comments below how you would use these hooks and be sure to tag me to your Instagram or Facebook when you share your decorated outdoors!
