Children’s Easter Wood Slice Coloring Placecard
Keep the kids entertained during Easter dinner with this Children’s Easter wood slice coloring placecard!
We’ve reached the final day of a Very Global Easter! It’s been such an amazing time sharing our Easter ideas these past 6 days. Today, Kathy of Up To Date Interiors and I sharing kids crafts! My kids love celebrating Easter, so a week of Easter ideas wouldn’t be complete without sharing something for the kiddos. You can catch up on all the posts by visiting my Very Global Easter page. I mentioned that I wanted to share a cute idea for the kids when I shared my rustic global Easter tablescape the other day. Today, I’m sharing exactly what that is! Since my kids tend to finish dinner quite fast, they tend to need some sort of entertainment. I thought of this Easter wood slice coloring placecard that would double as an Easter craft and a placecard for the kids.
To create your own wood slice coloring placecard, use black markers to draw your own Easter themed drawing. My kids requested bunnies on their wood slices, which were pretty easy to free hand. If you aren’t too keen on drawing free hand, you can print out an Easter picture and recreated it on the wood slice in 2 easy steps. Place your printed sheet on top of the wood slice and trace the picture heavily using a ballpoint pen. This will create a dent into your wood slice that you can then outline with your marker.
This craft project is so simple to make and so fun for the kids to color! My kids are going to enjoy coloring in their own bunny wood slices this Easter. I set a mason jar of colored pencils next to each place setting. The kids will have their own coloring pencils to avoid the need to pass pencils across the table. Plus, Chi-Chi tends to hog the pink and purple all of the time. Once they’ve colored their wood slice, I’m planning to drill a hole to the top of the slice to hang it from our Easter tree.
I hope your kids will enjoy this craft as much as mine! Have a very Happy Easter friends. Be sure to visit Kathy’s website for her super cute pom pom Easter basket makeover. How cute are these baskets?!
