DIY Evil Eye Ornaments
Want a chic global look to your Christmas tree? Check out these diy evil eye ornaments!
It’s day 3 of the Very Global Christmas series! Today is all about getting creative and making ornaments. Kathy of Up To Date Interiors is sharing her diy boho Parisian mini wreath ornaments, so be sure to visit her blog for the tutorial of those pretty wreaths.
I’ve been wanting to create these diy evil eye ornaments since last year. Don’t get spooked by the “evil eye” term. That evil eye symbol is a positive one that wards off bad mojo. I shared more about this good luck charm of sorts in a post all about evil eye decor last year.
These diy ornaments are so simple that it’s almost too simple to even share a tutorial on, but it was too cute not to. They make pretty vase filler or you can decorate an entire tree in these ornaments.
How to make DIY evil eye ornaments
To create your own diy evil eye ornaments, start with a navy sharpie and create a large circle. Work your way outward with the sharpie to make a thicker circle shape. You can use paint, if you desire, but I found that the sharpie helps create a more iridescent look compared to flat acrylic paint.
Use a light blue Sharpie marker to make a circle inside of the navy one. Try to make it as thick as the navy circle. Then, make a center circle inside of the light blue one using your navy sharpie again.
There you have it! Easy, simple diy evil eye ornaments perfect for your global bohemian Christmas tree or table decor. I used a few to create a mini global bohemian evil eye themed Christmas tree! How cute is this tree?! Place it in a kid’s room, office space, or on a tabletop.
