The kids are going to school next week and that means that its the official start of Fall!!!!
Okay, maybe not the official start of fall, but for me the start of the school year means that fall has arrived and there is time to get decorating. The house doesn’t seem to be very festive these days since the kitchen destruction has taken a toll on my creativity. It’s pretty hard to get crafting on things when there is already a mess in the area. The more I clean, the more I realize that I will never feel its actually clean until the renovation is all set and done. Some days I just feel like giving up completely and moving. 🙁
The fall season tends to make me feel chipper. The warmer temps are definitely more tolerable than the summer heat from H-E-double hockey sticks. It got up to 100F today, but felt like a solid 110F. I’m looking forward to the smooth 70’s and 80’s coming our way. The cooler temps also give me much better hair days too! My curly hair is no joke. As soon as I get to sweating or there is any sort of humidity in the air, my hair goes full on Monica Geller in the Caribbean.
Bohemian Style DIY Pumpkin Tutorials
The start of school also means the release of pumpkin spice scents. There is nothing better than smelling the aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, mixed with other aromatic spices. It’s euphoria I tell you! Pumpkins are of course the traditional fall decor item. The kids love painting pumpkins each year. We stayed away from carving them last year since the sight of a 4 and 5 year old with sharp utensils freaked me out. The kids are just as clumsy as their mother and it would only take 1 second for one of them to get injured.
