Colorful Basement Office Progress
UGH! There is not too much to report on this week’s one room challenge progress. We had Nugget’s birthday party and my focus was primarily on that this weekend. Here is the colorful basement office progress I did accomplish….
STARTED PAINTING!
That’s it! LOL!
On Wednesday I went The Home Depot to pick up the paint. Do you remember the color scheme for the room? Here is the overall plan for the room which you can read from week 1.
While at The Home Depot, I played around with some other color combinations and shared some paint chip cards on my Instagram. Did you see my Instagram stories? Oh, by the way, I’ll be sharing more videos on Instagram TV soon since they have launched their series option. I was thinking of a weekly hack/diy project or like a coffee chat of some sort. More details to come on that once I get it all figured out. 🙂
Anyway, as I was saying. The paint chip cards got me thinking that I should switch up the look of the feature wall. Something similar to this design. What do you think? Substitute the purple for a pink though.
Painting Basement Office Painters White
I chose to use the new Behr 2020 colors including Painter’s White, Rumba Orange, Bubble Pink, and Dragonfly which is a blue color. These colors should go great with my leftover Ocean Abyss from my blue living room paint makeover.
Here is how the walls are looking with just one coat of the painters white. I’m loving how bright and open this small office looks now.
Well, I’m off to finish the painting and do the edges. I’m thinking of painting the trim another color since the wall will be so white. Perhaps in that Rumba Orange color! Hopefully I can finish up by Friday to then be able to paste the wallpaper this weekend. Fingers crossed!
Be sure to visit the other guest participants and featured designers for the One Room Challenge! I can’t wait to see how much they’ve all completed this week.
this is going to be SO good, steph!
Thank you Cassie! It’s been such a slow progress so far, but I’m hoping I get it done in time. I really need a workspace ASAP. My kids are kicking me off the kitchen island. lol.
It’s so bright and airy! I think painting the trim a color is perfect for you.
Thanks so much Kathy! If only I can get this painting done ASAP! I’m so excited to start bringing in the decor pieces!
Love your mood board. Can’t wait to see the finished office!
Thank you Jessica! I can’t wait either hahaha!
