Well I’ve received Nugget’s school uniform and Pink is packing up to move into her dorm! It is now officially fall…at least in our home. It feels like the start of fall when the kiddos start heading back to school. I adore fall decorating and am super excited to continue the fall decorating around the house. The warm tones make the house feel so cozy and inviting, which to me is a must since the house will feel empty with the kids in school. A couple weeks ago I shared the living room and entryway fall room tours. Today, I’m sharing the 3 quick decor changes for fall I completed in the family room.
Sometimes, you just need a quick decor change to welcome the new season. I decided to keep some of the vibrant summer colors, but add some elements to make the family room seem more cozy. Those warm and cozy vibes are so important to our family during the fall and winter seasons. Though, I must add, that keeping the summer colors in the family room helps us all stay chipper and happy during the cooler fall weather. You can definitely give the sense of fall without removing bright colors from your decor. Here are the ways I not only infused some fall touches, but kept the family room colorful.
Metallic Touches For Fall
Flat metallic finishes instead of bright, shimmery metallics are the way to go in the fall. These flat finishes create a warmness in a room that compliments a mix of warm and cool colors.
