Global Style Christmas Home Tour
Put on that classic Christmas songs CD, because it’s time for Christmas home tours! I always find inspiration for decorating my house during home tours. I’m super excited to be joining Jess of Domicile 37 for her Winter Eclectic Home Tours and share my colorful global, boho style living room with you today. Yesterday, I shared global style christmas tree which set the theme for the remaining areas of my global style Christmas home tour. I wanted to create a colorful room full of global style accents used for Christmas. Many of these items were recently purchased, so I’ve included some affiliate links should you like to go global this Christmas. Disclaimer: Should you click on the affiliate links and make a purchase, I may receive a small commision of the sale at no cost to you.
I’m also sharing this tour with the Holiday Housewalk Link Party hosted by Jennifer Rizzo!
Grab your cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa and let us get started. I love to have a unique take to some of my Christmas styling. It all really began with my mother, who is even more Christmas crazy than me. It’s like walking into a Christmas decor store in her home. Hmmmm, maybe I’ll photograph her home next year so you can really see it. My Christmas decorating was inspired by a garland of handmade cloth wrapped elephants from India. I used them on my Christmas tree and incorporated more around the house.
As a lover of chinoiserie, I just adore using seasonal elements mixed with chinoiserie flair. A couple of pinecones or faux mini trees can make your chinoiserie styling work for Christmas and throughout winter.
I’m a big pillow addict, but I toned down the pillow use just a bit since I wanted to use the big, colorful rag rug from Better Homes and Gardens as a sofa cover. All the beautiful colors in the rug continue the vibrant color scheme of the rest of the room.
Probably the most surprising element is the simple table decor. I know, I know. This is most unusual for me. However, the room was super busy already that I needed simple table decor. Some LED flameless candles, pinecones, and a succulent do the trick. This silver embellished tray was a purchase from Michael’s two years ago. The simple centerpiece doesn’t detract your eye from the intricate design of the tray. I also used simple table styling throughout the rest of the room.

Everything is so colorful, bright, and happy! I love seeing non-traditional Christmas decor so this was a real treat. The elephant garland has to be the cutest thing ever! And great idea with the rag rug as a sofa throw–very creative.
This is beautiful! I love the simplicity of your styling and that rag rug on the couch is perfection. Love it!
Gosh I just love how colourful and laid back your home is! Your holiday decor is amazing and your tree is so fabulous! I also spotted some Blue Willow china which I have also, takes me right back to my childhood 🙂 Love it all and thank you for sharing, lovely to meet you on this Tour xx

I really like the simplicity of it all. You were right to tone down the pillows, but that pillow of Frida Kahlo is so amazing. Where did you get it? I didn’t see the link.
