3 Ways To Transition From Christmas To Winter Decor

Christmas is done, but what about your home decor?  Here are 3 Ways to Transition from Christmas To Winter Decor without a Fuss!

The time between Christmas and spring is such a weird decorating time for me.  Winter is still here, but Christmas is completely gone.  We kick off winter decor with Christmas trees, lots of festive ornaments, and holiday garlands that scream Christmas.  However after the holidays are done, winter decor can only be around for a few weeks until spring comes.  Transitioning your decor from Christmas to winter can be super easy and fuss free.  The ladies of The Global Styler are back this month to share tips on transitioning your decor  Here are my 3 ways to transition from Christmas to winter decor hassle free.  Be sure to visit the posts by Corinna from A Designer At Home and Kathy from Up To Date Interiors at the end of this post for more winter decorating tips!

Repurpose ornaments as decor

Ornaments are staple Christmas decor, but can be easily repurposed to be winter decor.  Utilize a few ornaments around your home as table decor, lamp wraps, or as hanging decor for knobs.  Place simple ornaments on your coffee table to continue the Christmas winter vibes without the overt Christmas look.

Remove overt Christmas decor and leave the rest

Sometimes winter decor can be as simple as removing the overt Christmas items like stockings and Christmas trees.  For a quick winter look, pack away your stockings, trees, and other decor items that are clearly for Christmas (like the Santa and elf decor).  What you have remaining could be your winter styling.  Shift things around your home to create a new winter look.  Moving your Christmas centerpieces to your entryway can create a new look without the additional fuss of creating or purchasing new winter decor pieces.  My simple Scandinavian centerpieces make great entryway table decor.

Incorporate winter neutrals

Break up the Christmas color palette with neutrals.  You can still keep your colorful accents, but infusing a bit of winter neutrals can create a winter vibe without any hassle.  Add neutral colored pillows to your sofa or toss a neutral blanket over a chair to create a winter vibe that is still in your home decor style.
