The holidays are upon us! This season is truly my favorite. I love the cooler weather, the wintergreens, and the emphasis on cozier homes. It’s also a great time of inspiration for home projects. Hosting family and friends for dinner is one of my favorite aspects of the holidays. I try to switch things up every year and offer a new unique take to my tablescapes. I came across wood mason jar lid inserts and knew these would make great DIY ornaments. The intricate laser cuts make each of these wood inserts so special and would be a great gift for guests. Wrapping these DIY wood ornaments around a napkin would also help them serve as a napkin ring. Create a sensible bohemian vibe to your table by pairing these DIY wood ornament napkin rings with a mix of vintage and new china along with fresh clippings.
What You Need:
Each pack of mason jar wood lid inserts comes with 3 different designs. Paint each piece with the same color of spray paint or use a different color for each design. I used a mix of green and gold spray paint, but you can use chalk paint if you’d prefer a faster drying time. The wood pieces took about 10 minutes to dry to touch and then I used a bit of twine to make a hanging loop for the ornament.
Wrap the ornament around the napkin with more twine and add some fresh clippings. Eucalyptus is wonderful for holiday decorating. Enjoy your DIY wood ornament napkin rings as is or personalize with guests’ names. Happy entertaining!
