How To Decorate A Global Style Fall Entryway
This week is all about fall decorating! With the official start of fall occurring last week, this is the best time to start decorating your home. Last week, I shared the first part of my fall home tour and realized I never included my entryway! Without going overboard with fall decorating, you can style and decorate a global style fall entryway simply by shopping your home. Here are some ideas to keep in mind when collecting items to style your entryway.
How To Decorate A Global Style Fall Entryway
1. Select a theme for your fall decor
This year, I wanted to include hints of chinoiserie into my fall decor. I used a hints of chinoiserie in my table decor and coffee bar shown in my home tour last week and blue willow chinoiserie plates for my global boho fall tablescape. As guests enter my home, I’d like them to see these fall chinoiserie hints as well. I used a few items from around the house to infuse chinoiserie style on my entryway table.
2. Use The Unexpected
Chinoiserie ginger jars are one of my favorite accents pieces. However, I needed to add a little unexpected twist to my table. Create a chinoiserie key bowl by repurposing a chinoiserie tea cup and saucer. Simply attach the two pieces using a hot glue gun. Simply remove the hot glue should you want to use the cup later on. You can also make your own lantern decor by stacking a LED lantern on top of a tall pedestal candle holder. The gold toned lantern owl adds a touch of gold and balances the height of the plant arrangement.
3. Infuse Pops of Color
Shop your home for colorful artwork that meets your fall theme. You can remove artwork from other locations in your home for the season, frame seasonal family photos, or even use a collection of magazines or books in a basket!
Autumn colored florals can also add pops of color to your table. Place beautiful floral arrangements in interesting vases. Using unique vases not only creates a conversation starter, but also personalizes your display. This faux concrete vase is a great contrast to the delicate floral arrangement.
Create other contrasting elements by mixing metallics with colorful items. A colorful glass pumpkin can be displayed on a stack of Moroccan Hammam bowls! These bowls are a great asset in any global style home and are super convenient for displays of all kinds. Check out more ways to use Moroccan Hammam bowls here.
