Winter Home Tour Part 3: Decorating the Powder Room
Hola!
Are you still in the process of decorating for Christmas? Last year, I was decorating right up to Christmas eve! We just decorated the family room tree Monday night and the only remaining room in need of decorating was the powder room. I generally do not decorate the powder room for every holiday, but Christmas is one of those times when I like to have a welcoming home including our powder room. Be sure to check out the dining room and living room winter tours!
I’m so happy to be joining Tiffany of The House Down The Lane and a wonderful group of bloggers for my last holiday home tour. Be sure to visit her blog and the other great holiday rooms listed at the end of the post.
My powder room is pretty small, but I’ve always wanted to make it a statement room. Earlier this year I gave this room a makeover and have been loving the wall color. You can see that makeover here. I decided to use a few complementary patterns and colors for my holiday decor.
I pulled some of the green color from the accent rug and the beautiful chinoiserie print from PaperWords. The chinoiserie print is stunning and the vibrant colors are inspirational. PaperWords was so kind to contribute a set of 6 prints for my living room makeover, as part of the one room challenge. Four of the prints are hung in my living room.
The blue wall color of the powder room is a great backdrop to other art works. I have been slowly adding art pieces to assemble a gallery wall and have some ideas planned for expanding it very soon.
The printable diaper changing station sign is great for my guests with children, but also still festive.
Does my copper tray look familiar? I used this tray for my Thanksgiving tablescape. I’ll be sharing the details of the tray makeover next week. A few pinecones in a chinoiserie pot and this tray is all set for Christmas.
