Simple Brass Boho Wreath Makeover
Welcome back to a Very Global Christmas! It’s day 4 and Kathy of Up to date Interiors and I are sharing diy wreaths. If you have missed any of the previous Very Global Christmas posts, you can catch them all here.
In the midst of pulling out all the Christmas decor, I found an old wreath that I was just about to toss out when I thought I’d try a makeover first. I honestly don’t remember when this wreath even existed in the house, so it has to be at least 8 years old.
With a little revamping, this old ugly wreath transformed into a simple brass boho wreath!
How to update an old wreath
When updating a wreath, it’s always best to start with a clean slate. So, remove any items that are no longer wanted. I took everything but the pine cones off. I actually like the pinecones and it will coordinate with the look I’m planning for the mantel.
Gather your embellishment for the wreath. I found these botanical brass ornaments at Target and the little gold bells are actually gift toppers from Target as well.
Play around with a few items that you’d like to add to your wreath. Brass botanical ornaments and bells are perfect for a boho wreath. Place them around the wreath until you have a look you love. Use wire or glue to adhere the ornaments to the wreath.
Hang your new updated boho wreath in a great spot and enjoy. If you want to kick it up a notch, try adding some lights to the wreath.
Don’t forget to head on over to Up To Date Interiors to check out Kathy’s Scandinavian gold and rosemary wreath! Come back tomorrow for another globally inspired idea!
This is such a great way to update an old wreath. I have one that I want to refresh now. Thanks for the idea!
