Modern Bohemian Style Walk-In Closet Makeover: His Side

The day has finally arrived to take on the most anticipated makeover of the season…. my walk in closet! I’ve partnered with Closets by Liberty to transform our small walk-in master closet into a modern bohemian style dream closet. I am over the moon excited about this partnership and our new walk-in closet.

It’s amazing how much an organized space can make you feel incredibly happy. Up until this point, I had avoided going into our closet. It was messy, unorganized, honestly a sad SAD place. It’s basically a dumping ground for several outgrown clothing and shoes. You wouldn’t believe the items I found while cleaning out the closet for this makeover. Just look at this embarrassing before photo.

Right away you can see how small the closet is…well, that and the mess. The clothes are in disarray, shoes are thrown everywhere, and my precious purses are not highlighted. I’ve been saying for years that I had to spend a few days to get this closet organized and I never did. I even had ordered new wooden hangers a while back, but didn’t use them. I can’t wait to have them hanging in our newly refreshed closet. So, let’s kickoff this makeover by transforming the HIS side first!

DIY Closet Makeover

I created the look of a custom closet by pulling up the old carpet and replacing it with laminate flooring, swapping out the light fixture for a modern Boho star lamp, refreshing the paint, and installing a large mirror for a chic closet look.

The old shelves left several holes in the wall. After patching up the holes, I repainted the walls and constructed my new closet system. I even made the closet look like built-ins by color blocking the wall! Master Closet Organization for His Side

For his side, we constructed the 68.5″ wide system closet for 8ft wide closets and used the included drawers and shelving to make one organized His Side closet. The hanging rods are super sturdy for his suits and make his business attire look so chic. He loves this closet so much that he said he needed to buy new wardrobe for it!

The closets are easily changed and customized for your own needs. So, if you want the drawers higher… you can raise them easily! Each drawer is easy to construct and has quality Liberty drawer pulls. You know I’m a fan of my Liberty hardware in the kitchen! Want more shelves for shoes? Insert another shelf insert and show off those sneakers! The hubs loves his sneakers and we were able to show them off using the Closet by Liberty shelving!

I couldn’t be happier with the start of our small modern bohemian walk in closet makeover. This is truly my favorite makeover thus far! Our newly organized closet with the Closet by Liberty system has made a huge change in our daily routine as well. We are much more productive and have shed off so much wasted time looking through the previous unorganized closet.
