When The Home Depot reached out to me about a wonderful campaign for Hispanic American heritage month I just had to jump in! I was asked to create a space inspired by my heritage and I knew exactly the space I wanted to tackle…my new home office space. What better area to infuse my own culture in than my own home office.

Bohemian Home Office Decor Ideas

Ever since Pink moved into her own apartment a few months ago, her old Scandi-glam bedroom has been vacant. I decided to do a switcheroo and swap my colorful basement office for her room, with an update of course. My new modern bohemian office is a dream retreat for creating, inspiring new work, and now command central for Casa Watkins LLC.

Creating a space inspired by my Hispanic heritage was a wonderful experience. I started with a tropical wallpaper that was a dream! The palm tree print along with the tropical flowers was a beautiful reminder of island life. The color scheme for the rest of the room was inspired by the wallpaper. You can find the green and blue hues throughout the room and in the new blue and green lamp. The tropical art picks up the other blush and red orange colors of the wallpaper.

As with any room here at Casa Watkins, I wanted to include a variety of globally inspired decor. This new office has many worldly inspired decor from the bone inlay frames with photos from my wedding in the Dominican Republic to the Moroccan inspired shag rug and global print pillow. I wanted to surround myself with inspiring decor that would spark and drive creativity. The art above the velvet sofa is a beautiful reminder to support and lift up other women.
