I used Moroccan trellis napkins from Target to create my napkin Easter baskets, but you can use white napkins if you prefer a neutral pallet. Though, this is a fun way to incorporate color into your tablescape.
How to Fold Napkin Easter Basket
- Fold a square napkin in half and press edges. Then, fold the napkin into thirds by bringing the top fold to the center then the bottom fold.
- Fold the left side of the napkin to the center of the entire napkin and fold again bringing the left edge to the center once again.
- Take the right side of the napkin and fold toward the center, but pointed downward to create an overhang.
- Fold over the right side of the napkin and tuck the overhang piece into the bottom of the folded napkin to create a napkin loop. Then, stand the napkin upright and fluff open the napkin. Use a bottle brush wire as a basket handle.
Too cute right?!
Place your new Easter basket on your festive spring plates. Fill the napkin fold baskets with fresh florals, Easter candy, or Easter eggs. Take can take this idea a step forward and tie some ribbon around the handle.
