Tassel, Boho Spring Basket Wreath
Bring some global boho style into your home easily with a diy spring wreath! Make this tassel boho spring basket wreath for instant color and style.
It’s day 4 of A Very Global Easter and today is all about wreaths! If you’ve missed any of the posts so far, you can catch them all below. I’m pretty excited about this tassel, boho spring basket wreath. I was on the fence whether to share it or not since it was a bit quirky looking at first, but it was instant love when I placed it in my kitchen. Be sure to head over to Up To Date Interiors for Kathy’s wreath at the end of the tutorial. I probably shouldn’t say it’s a tutorial, per se, since it was only 5 minutes to create. It hardly warrants a full step by step breakdown, but let me share a few things I did to create this diy boho spring wreath.
Boho Spring Basket Wreath
I started with a hanging basket I purchased at Target. If this basket looks a little familiar, it’s because I made a boho tassel basket wreath last year using a much larger basket. I still have it hanging in our bedroom. If your Target store doesn’t have them, you can find similar basket trays on Amazon.
The succulent sprays were a score from Joann Fabrics. The regular price of these faux plants is a little high for me at $8 each, so I recommend signing up for the Joann app to get coupons to use when you pick up these plants. I think I used a 50% off of regular priced item coupon along with a Michael’s coupon.
Again, making this tassel boho spring basket wreath is super easy friend. Start by wrapping the first succulent spray around the edge of the basket. Be careful not to pull too tight or the weaving will break. I also looped the succulents around a couple of the basket lattices.
Glue on some faux flowers to hide the ends of the succulent stems and place a few more scattered around the basket. Finish by adding some vibrant tassels or pom poms….or both! These blush cowrie tassels from Boho Luxe Home were great for this project since it clipped right into the basket.
Then hang it right up for some instant global boho spring style!
I wasn’t planning to place anything above the stove hood. After having such a clean look to the kitchen, I was very VERY oppose to anything making the kitchen looked cluttered. I was totally wrong and I adore how this basket wreath looks on the hood. The white tiled wall looks much more approachable. That may be an odd way to describe a wall, but you know sometimes all white walls and rooms just make you feel like you MUST keep it clean. Well, this tassel boho spring basket wreath makes this side of the kitchen look so much more friendly. haha!
