Global Style DIY Bead Garland
Thank you to Woman Shops World for sponsoring this post! All opinions on these stunning beads and tassels are 100% my own.
Wood bead garlands are popping up everywhere this year! The natural wood bead garlands started making an appearance last year and I made this colored wood bead garland as an alternative. This time around, I decided to mix natural bone beads from Nepal with colorful glass tribal beads from Ghana that were found on the Woman Shops World Etsy store. You could literally leave the glass beads on the strand they come on and style as is. However, for a unique look, create my global style DIY bead garland with tassels instead!
I’ll be honest, I was super tempted just to make a necklace for myself using the gorgeous Ghana glass beads. Just imagine the strand of colorful glass beads paired with a white tee Gorgeous right?! Each bead has it’s own pattern and color combination. The mix of each bead creates a colorful punch of global style to any table. The bone beads are handcrafted in Nepal and have been dyed a slightly tan color. It makes the beads look almost wooden! You can view those beads here.
DIY Bead Garland
To make your own DIY bead garland, simply string your beads in a selected pattern that alternates the glass tribal beads and bone beads. I created a pattern that consisted of 8 bone beads that alternated with the 8 glass beads, followed by 10 glass beads. Super easy to create and only takes a few minutes. I added two dip dyed tassels (find here) to finish the look. The good news is that the bead garland doesn’t have to be a vase filler. You can hang the beads from jars, door knobs, curtain rods, and even lamps. The uses for are endless!
How would you use this global style DIY bead garland? There are so many places in your home that would be great fit for this garland.
