From Whoops To Wow: Craft Room Cabinet Upgrade

Week 5 of the New Year New Room Refresh Challenge!  Transform cabinets into modern pieces with differently sized cabinet pulls!

Well I’m sure you were hoping for a reveal today….so was I!  Unfortunately, due to the hectic snow and subsequent shipping delays many of us have had to postpone the reveal day until next week.  Buys me some time to get better photography weather too.  I did get quite a bit done this week, however.  The wallpaper is up, I assembled almost all the Ikea furniture, and a whoops turned into a wow regarding my cabinets.  I ordered beautiful champagne brass cabinet pulls from Liberty Hardware only to discover that I only ordered enough for one cabinet.  I’m pretty sure these thrifted cabinets are an older model of the Ikea Billy bookcase.  Well the new versions only have two cabinet doors while my thrifted pair have 4.  I searched for solutions for my dilemma and thought I could use the cabinet pulls for another piece I had planned to makeover.

These other 4 cabinet pulls are much shorter in length, but have the same design.  I played around with the pulls and discovered that I actually love the look of the alternating lengths!  It gives the cabinet a much more modern look without the need for a heavy duty makeover.  What do you think?
