Fall-ing in love with Non traditional Fall Colors
Hola!
Are you wishing to have a new take on Fall decor? Fall is quickly approaching and I want to welcome it with a non-traditional approach. I love oranges, red, and brown tones for the Fall, but sometimes you want to new look without getting rid of the traditional colors. Break out of the box and incorporate greens and blues to your Fall decor.
I have been hunting down a neutral rug to coordinate with my dining room decor ever since the room received a makeover. Well, I recently purchased a great gray patterned rug from Target and am in love with the way it mixes with the chair fabric. I took a bit of inspiration from these colors to make a non-traditional Fall tablescape.
When you are decorating for Fall, it doesn’t only have to be about pumpkins and leaves. You can coordinate some of your favorite things that may not necessarily be considered “Fall.” The beauty of decorating your home is that it is completely your own to decorate. You like palm leaves instead of oak leaves, then use them. I like using both!
The Fall colors take on a different look when they are mixed with colors not traditionally considered Fall. Incorporate those non-traditional colors with ease using a colorful plate, glassware, or non-traditional colored napkin along with your staple Fall colors.
My orange plate is complemented with a blue napkin and colorful dessert plate from Crate and Barrel. If you want to incorporate pumpkins, try marbling them with non-traditional colors. I used gem tone nail polish to marble dollar store pumpkins. Check out that post here.
No table is complete without candles. With a small bit of ribbon, you can add some flair to your candles. I don’t know why, but plaid prints just scream comfy, cozy Fall. I typically see red or brown plaids in the Fall, but absolutely loved this black and white plaid ribbon from Joann Fabrics.
The ribbon was attached around the candle using a tiny bit of a Command strip. Yes, the same command strips you hang pictures on the wall with. I find that the command strips help keep the ribbon intact and ready to be used over and over again.
So, what new colors are you going to try to incorporate with your Fall decor this year? Take the plunge into a non-traditional Fall and use blue or green this season. Be sure to stop back Casa Watkins tomorrow. I’ll be sharing 5 Tips to Transition your Home for Fall with help from Big Lots.

This is beautiful thank you for the inspiration!
