It’s time to welcome spring whether winter got the memo or not! These diy floral paper mache Easter eggs are a beautiful way to decorate your table this spring.
We had a snow day, yet again, today and the whether has been causing all sorts of gloomy vibes around the house. I’m welcoming spring vibes this week to not only boost my moods, but the whole vibe at Casa Watkins. Have you started your spring decorating yet? Don’t worry if you haven’t, I’m slowly bringing in touches of spring so be sure to stick around these next few weeks for more spring inspiration.
Kathy of Up To Date Interiors and I will be hosting A Very Global Easter again this year and I couldn’t be more excited. The 7 day series will kick off the 11th of this month so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, I’ll be sharing quick spring decorating ideas to get us feeling spring ASAP. Today, I’m sharing these cute diy floral paper mache Easter eggs that will make quite an impression on your spring table.
Start by cutting a small hole into a paper mache egg. You don’t want to cut it too big or your egg will not stabilize. Add some global style to your Easter eggs to kick up your decor a notch. You can use these global style paper mache ideas I shared last year for some inspiration.
Add the leaves of your favorite spring flower first to cover the opening. Then, add your clipped flowers to the center.
Super easy right?!
Style your diy floral paper mache Easter eggs on a colorful egg cup and place on your table or around your home for some spring vibes. Add a teeny bit of moist floral foam into your egg if you want the look to last following your spring event.
I love the look of the Peruvian lilies with the paper mache. The neutral color of the egg makes these flowers pop and scream spring.
Where would you use these Easter eggs? I’m thinking they would look wonderful at a buffet table or even on each place setting. Snap a pic and share your diy floral paper mache Easter eggs with me! I’d love to see which flowers you choose.
Happy Decorating!
Wow! You’ve been busy this month! These are gorgeous.
