Colorful Spring Kitchen Shelf Styling
It’s day 5 of the Very Global Easter series! It has been quite the chaotic week here at Casa Watkins with colds and illnesses, but it’s been wonderful sharing these spring and Easter ideas with you. Today is all about tables and surfaces! We have exciting ideas to help you decorate whether you have a dinner table, mantel, or shelf using items you already own! I’ve started decorating our home for spring last week and shared the spring global wall decor I placed in the dining room. This past weekend, I took the time to start decorating our kitchen with some colorful spring kitchen shelf styling!
I spotted this spring shelfie by Anthropologie last week and wanted to recreate a version of it using items I already owned. I think it turned out pretty great! Plus, it cost ZERO dollars to make.
Gathering items from around your house in the colors desired makes this shelfie look completely free. You can create a series of rainbow colors on a single shelf or dedicate a color to each shelf. I opted for a combination of the two, with the top shelf showing off more color and the last shelfs with a dedicated color.
Consider using items with a variety of shapes and heights. I used candlesticks, bowls, vases, and even glassware. Have fun creating your own colorful kitchen shelves with clear and opaque finishes too! This really adds a level of dimension to the shelves beyond using only clear colored glass. Don’t forget to add art! I added the DIY Matisse inspired Easter egg painting for additional color.
I’ll be working on the other side of the kitchen this week, but I am loving the overall vibe happening in the kitchen this spring! Have you started decorating yet?
