Sweet Christmas decorating ideas for Girl’s bedroom
Christmas is our favorite time of the year. I have been feeling like we needed a bit more cheer this year, so I decided to surprise the kids by decorating their bedrooms for Christmas. I shared the rooms on Instagram if you want to check out some video footage of the Christmas surprise. Today, I’m sharing Chi-Chi’s bedroom decorated with holiday decor. Stay tuned for Nugget’s room revealed tomorrow. Here are some easy and quick girl’s bedroom holiday decor you can do to bring a Christmas smile to the little girls in your life.
Girl’s bedroom holiday decor
After a quick clean and tidy session, I created little moments throughout Chi-Chi’s room including a sweet treats Christmas tree that made her gasp as soon as she saw it. I just adored seeing her face light up when I surprised her with a Christmas bedroom after coming home from school.
You don’t have to spend big bucks to create these special moments for any child, but it did help to shop all the sales happening now on literally all Christmas decor. All items used were either from Michael’s, Joann’s, or Homesense. Here are some ways I used just a few holiday pieces to make a BIG Christmas impact.

Create Small Christmas Vignettes
Creating vignettes around Chi-Chi’s bedroom was a sure way to bring in some holiday happiness. Decorate a bedside table, desk, and/or dresser with a few decor pieces grouped together. Remember the rule of 3 when creating your vignette! An odd number of pieces is sure to be much more eye pleasing.
I also like to mix and match my grouping, for example I used two of the pearly Christmas trees mixed with a bottle brush Christmas tree on her dresser. It gives the vignette character and a little whimsy too. These cone Christmas trees were such a great find at Michaels! These are trees you can easily create, but at the amazing sale price it would have cost me more to buy materials to create the look!
Add one new item to the bed
There is no need to get a whole new set of bedding sheets for the holiday. Adding a new accent pillow or a throw blanket adds a special touch to their bed without breaking the bank for a one- time use bedding set. You can also add one item above the bed, like a cute wreath, in lieu of a pillow or blanket. OR, go for two of the three ideas!
Small Christmas trees in the bedroom
Both of my kiddos have quite a bit of things already in their room. From a large Barbie house to a tower organizer for plushies and toys. So, adding a large Christmas tree wasn’t going to happen. Instead, I found a cute slim Christmas tree aka pencil Christmas tree that added the perfect touch without taking up too much space. The Christmas trees are on sale now at many stores so I was happy to get this tree at Michael’s for about $50 which was a fraction of the original cost.
I had been making a couple DIY ornaments the previous week and I was giddy finally seeing them on the tree. The DIY Macaron ornaments absolutely sparkled on the white Christmas tree. The DIY lollipop ornaments looked good enough to eat! Stay tuned for these two ornament tutorials coming later this week. You can catch the video tutorial for both the DIY macaron ornaments and DIY lollipop ornaments early by seeing it on my Instagram now!
I was able to grab a few new ornaments from the store and was stunned by how beautiful the glass cake slices are. You can also spot the sea glass ornaments I made last year on Chi-Chi’s tree too. I think they remind me of a type of rock candy or maybe some sort of jellies. A couple of colorful garlands and this tree was the sweetest treat Christmas tree ever!
If only I was able to catch Chi-Chi’s reaction opening her bedroom door. She gave me the biggest hug and thanked me for making her bedroom so cheery. I may have this become a Christmas tradition now! Stay tuned for Nugget’s Christmas bedroom reveal tomorrow!
