Basement Office Renovation
It’s week 3 of the One Room Challenge, but only week 2 for me. I’ve been busy getting this room done before the holidays. Momma needs a space to get shhtuff done! The basement office renovation plans were just shared yesterday, but the work is still continuing!
So far, we have installed the panels over the electrical boxes and water access panel. These panels were desperately needed as we had to tear into the wall to locate a leak that occured months ago. Now, we have a magnetically held panels!
I’m planning on transforming the panel in front of the water pipes into a magnet mood board for the office. The other panels will get a paint job inspired by the painted wall I shared before. The colors will be different and pulled from the wallpaper, but I’m sure it’ll still be quite a statement.
After the drywall was repaired, I had to sand it and boy did that take a looong time! I opted to paint the wall the same color as the rest to see if I could avoid painting the whole room……. I was wrong! The color is so wrong for this space so I’ll have to paint it ASAP.
I’m waiting for the wallpaper to arrive before I swap out the lighting. We did have the remaining planks from our first floor luxury vinyl plank flooring installation so we placed them in this space. It’s so easy to install if you haven’t dealt with luxury vinyl plank flooring.
Okay friends! I’m back to work and will update with my progress next week. I’m hoping to get the painting done by then! Visit all the other one room challenge progress posts by visiting the official One Room Challenge page!
