Spring Global Style Home Tour
Spring is in the air….or at least inside our home. We have finally had a good stretch of days without any snow or ice. I took the time to finish up the first floor decor for spring. I still have some small touches to make in the kitchen, but otherwise I’m all set for spring. Today, I’m joining Monica of Monica Want’s It again for a spring home blog hop. The hop kicked off yesterday and continues all week long. Be sure to check out all the amazing homes throughout the week. If you’re coming from Jessica at House Homemade, then welcome again! Thanks for stopping by again today. Jessica shared a quick spring banner yesterday for our monthly series, The Global Styler that is a must see. Let’s get to seeing the Casa shall we?!

I shared on Instagram that I had swapped around some of the curtains in the house since there was a heavy glare on the family room tv. So, you’ll see that this swap really changed the color dynamics of the room. The bold green drapes deepens the color story of the family room and I am loving the effect. The previous white curtains were amazing in creating a light space, but in the end, we needed to get blinds or swap the curtains out. You can see which direction we went with. 🙂

I hung this colorful piece from Minted over the desk to tie in all the pops of color throughout the family room. I also brought back the chinoiserie lamp that I had moved over to the end table. A few sunny, yellow daffodils in a clear vase completes my little work nook. The yellow continues to the other side of the fireplace with a golden yellow blanket draped on my yellow midcentury modern chair. I just shared the update I gave to the basket hanging above the fireplace. It needed just a bit of pizazz and boho-fication. Take a look at my diy woven basket wall hanging tutorial to see how you can transform one of your own woven baskets.
I just love having pops of yellow around the house. It helps to cheer up spaces during the stormy days and elevates my good mood during the sunny days. I’ve kept the yellow buffet in the dining room, but I am playing with the idea of switching up this buffet paint for green. The dining room was shared last week along with spring dining room tips. You can see those tips here.
If you have been following me for a while, then you may notice these plantlicious curtains I now have in the living room. They used to be in the dining room before I switched them out for the blue velvet drapes. What do you think of them in the living room? They definitely make the room more botanical, but that didn’t stop me from keeping the plants in this space. I’m working on an idea to extend the length of the curtains and will be sharing that as soon as it’s finalized.
