It’s officially spring this week and that means all sorts of colorful projects from blogs and websites. Spring is my ultimate favorite season since I finally get to show vibrant colors! I’ve been decorating my spring tablescape and wanted to share a quick 5 minute project which could be very useful this weekend as you decorate your Easter table.
This quick project takes 5 minutes or less depending on how many napkin or utensil rings you’d like to make. For a treat, I’ve also shared a peak of my spring tablescape. If I could spend all day decorating tablescapes I would! It’s one of my favorite things to do.
For this project you’ll need some faux leaves (I like a bit of a tropical appeal so I go for the palms) and double sided tape. That’s it!
Prep your leaf by rolling it into a ring and place gentle pressure to curve the leaf itself. The plastic vine of the leaf serves as the ring itself, so be sure to keep the leaf intact. Then, take your double sided tape and place it in a long strip on the inner side of the leaf. Roll the leaf again into a ring and you’re all done. Slip in your utensils or napkins and add to your table!
Two tips here: If you have a heavier fabric for your leaf, you may want to put a dab of glue with your glue gun at the tip of the leaf. This will secure the ring shape. If your leaf stem is too thick, you can snip off the thick part of the stem tip but be sure to leave the rest of the stem intact so form the ring shape.
I love sharing these quick projects with you and if you enjoyed it, I’m sure your friends will too. Don’t forget to pin this post to your spring Pinterest board or share on your facebook page!
Thanks for stopping by my casa today!
