Vibrant orange hallway paint for your Bohemian Home
Ladies and gentlemen…I painted the hallway ORANGE! Using orange hallway paint was definitely one of those impulsive DIYer moves. I was actually working on a different project and saw THE most amazing shade of orange. It’s called Florida Sunrise by Behr and I knew it was the orange paint I’ve been waiting for! I took a chance and jumped right into the hallway refresh to avoid any overthinking. These types of impulsive projects either turn out really great or really wrong. I’m happy to say, this turned out really great!
I’ve been searching for a fabulous orange hallway paint for a while that would coordinate with the wallpaper in the kitchen. The hummingbird wallpaper has been my inspiration for the entire first floor color palette. Little by little, I’ve been using the colors from the hummingbird wallpaper to have a cohesive first floor look.
Imagine my surprise when this gorgeous shade of orange fell right into my lap and coordinated perfectly with the wallpaper. The background of the wallpaper already coordinated with the teal living room walls, so now there is complete coordination throughout the first floor.
As a side note, I recently painted the kitchen walls and windows yellow to pull some of the tiny hints of yellow from the wallpaper but now I’m rethinking that decision…..UGH repainting doesn’t sound fun. But hiring out a painting company is just NOT cost effective when I change my mind on paint so often. I had a company paint my first floor after the kitchen fire and that nearly cost $3,500! Luckily our insurance covered that cost, but I don’t think I can stomach paying that every year or two when I change my wall paint. I’m pretty sure the hubs would have a complete meltdown seeing that bill.
Orange hallway walls and blue doors
I left the baseboards and doors the light blue color (Behr Alice White) and this hallway now has a very tropical bohemian vibe. Not to mention that my rattan wall plates look fabulous against the new paint. While painting, I discovered a couple of holes on the wall that I completely forgot were there. So I tested out some Dap Eclipse wall patches I saw at The Home Depot and I was pleasantly surprised. You can hardly tell where one patch is, but the other has a little bubble which is bit more obvious if you happen to be looking at the uppermost part of the wall. You can see my video using the patches and results on both Pinterest and Instagram.
For now, I am loving the new vibes in the hallway and how it completely transforms the entry. Check out how I refreshed the dining room too! These painting updates are too addicting, but 2022/2023 has been marked my sunshine years and I’m bringing in ALL the color!

I love those sherbet colored walls! That color with that wallpaper gives me all the feels! Great job!
Thanks Deb! I love how great it feels to see that colorful wall when we walk through the door. It’s an instant happy feeling. 🙂
