Tips for Decorating Your Entryway Table Year Round
4 Tips For Decorating Your Entryway Table Year Round. How you can do Season-less decorating like a pro!
Do you find that decorating during seasonal or holiday times is easier than non-holiday times?
When it comes to holiday or seasonal decorating, most of us bring in around 2 to 5 pieces of seasonal decor in each space. I’m talking Christmas decor and pinecones for the winter, pumpkins for the fall, florals in the spring, etc. But what about the non-holiday times?
In between the holidays, there are ways to decorate a space that transcends the season.
Decor that is season-less.
The entryway is the first impression your guests will get of your interiors. So, following these simple year round entryway table decor ideas will make you score an A+ regardless of the season.
Decorating Your Entryway Table
1. Elevate decor with boxes or books
Displaying items in varying heights creates a collected look that is pleasing to the eye. It is the difference between a well designed surface and a table that is simply holding items. Use books, boxes, or a combination of the two to create elevation on your entryway table.
2. Showcase a mini collection
Collections of same or similar items on an entryway table not only pulls the look together, but also shows your interest in an item. Whenever anyone new comes over to visit, one of the first things they notice about my home…. other than the art… is the collections of brass candlesticks. I LOVE collecting brass candlesticks and its one of my favorite elements to show my signature style.
What kind of collection would showcase your signature style? Give your guests a glimpse of that as soon as they enter!
3. Bring in those botanicals
You knew this was coming right?! Plants are always my go to when decorating a space. Create a variety of botanical displays using different potted plants. You can also include a few leaves that you are propagating. Place a few snipped leaves in watered small containers for an added touch.
4. Eye-catching wall decor
One of the biggest mistakes that will take away from your entryway is forgetting about the wall. A great wall piece completes the entryway look and binds all the elements on the table together. Hang an attention grabbing mirror or art work that coordinates with your table decor style.
Add leaning art pieces or hang garland for maxi style. Us maximalists can’t avoid adding to an already fabulous decor element. 🙂 I placed my DIY Aztec inspired wood art to coordinate with the small box atop of the books. Your eye draws to the art piece, but it doesn’t look out of place given the box has a similar finish.
