Thrifted Treasures: Spanish Tapas Bowls
Hola and good morning!
Many of the times, home decorators and designers will search thrift stores and flea markets for fabulous home goodies. I love shopping at these places. There are so many items that have come back in style or become the latest trends, which you can find for great prices thrifting or at a flea market. I love to find thrifted treasures and repurpose or upcycle them. I am lucky to have 3 thrift stores close by and typically visit them each week. It’s getting hot here in Maryland, which means FLEA MARKET TIME! That is such an exciting time for me.

This week, I went on my own thrift store trip to look for any goodies. I found a set of 3 little plates that are perfect tapas bowls. The detailing on these plates is very reminiscent traditional Spanish colors. The plates have colorful flowers, birds, a little family which are perhaps farming, and a beautiful mix of patterns all on a glazed yellow tone dish.
I couldn’t find too much information on this specific line of dishware by Cavitt Shaw, but it’s beautiful nonetheless. I’m looking forward to using these plates for a cocktail tapas party.
Do you also love finding treasures at thrift stores, flea markets, and Craig’s list? A fantastic trio of bloggers, Corinna of A Designer At Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, as well as Brynne of The Gathered Home have a weekly share of thrifted treasures on Instagram called #thriftscorethursday. I’ll be sharing my new to me Spanish tapas plates on Instagram today. Snap a photo and share your own thrifted treasure using the hashtag #thriftscorethursday.
Thanks so much for stopping by my casa!
