Many of my friends happen to be in town for Thanksgiving on Thursday. So, I took the opportunity to throw a Friendsgiving. One friend happen to fly in from California! I already have a lot on my plate planning for Thanksgiving, but I wanted to make sure to host a special Friendsgiving this year for some truly special friends.
The tight turnaround in hosting Friendsgiving required all quick decorating decisions. So, I created a quick Friendsgiving tablescape with faux pumpkins and florals to decorate the table. Here is how you can create this beautiful and quick Friendsgiving tablescape for your Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving centerpiece.
Faux Pumpkins Centerpiece
This centerpiece was super easy to create and I showed the process in a video on Instagram. By creating this quick centerpiece, you can get back to the rest of the Friendsgiving prepwork and reduce the stress of hosting.
I used 5 faux pumpkins, faux ivy, faux florals, and votive candles to bring a gorgeous garden look to my Friendsgiving tablescape. I didn’t glue the flowers to the pumpkins due to the tight turnaround, but I would recommend gluing with hotglue after you’ve finalized the placement of each flower.
Then, I mixed and matched plates for an eclectic touch! The blue chinoiserie plates are one of the most traditional English patterns and I found them at a thrift store! I paired them with beautiful green cabbage salad plates and bowls from The Southern Living collection at Dillards along with blue farmhouse napkins. The rattan charger plates balances the entire look while the green utensils brings the green color down to the table.
The table looked so beautiful with the votive candles illuminating the florals!
We were so hungry that I didn’t even get a chance to snap some pics of the girls or the food, but we had a wonderful time catching up. There is something about a beautiful tablescape that makes everyone feel so welcome and at home. We chatted for hours before we realized we hadn’t even had dessert!
I hope you have a wonderful Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving this week!
