Easy Italian Sausage Appetizer Recipe
Ready to host this holiday? Make this easy Italian sausage appetizer recipe for your next gathering!
When it comes throwing a great dinner party or holiday gathering, I often find myself creating quick recipes for the appetizers first. That way I can spend more time whipping up the main courses and sides. How many times has dinner taken much longer to cook and you have almost everyone… and I mean EVERYONE…asking you when dinner will be ready?
Well, that’s happened more than once to me and having quick appetizer recipes on deck is a game changer. Many of the recipes I use can be made ahead of time too! This easy Italian sausage and cream cheese appetizer is no different.
This recipe calls for mild Italian sausage, but if you prefer the dark side of spicy…. by all means use the spicy Italian sausage instead. I’m not a big fan of overly spicy, but the cream cheese will cut a little of the spicy flavors so you won’t feel like your mouth is on fire so much.
What also helps in developing this super tasty Italian sausage appetizer is the incredible cinnamon apple cranberry sauce I used to top each little crostini. If you haven’t tried or made my cranberry sauce yet, you are missing out my friend! I make the best cranberry sauce each year and if you are already hosting then you can probably cut down the work by using some of the sauce for this Italian sausage appetizer! It’s a two for one!
Ingredients for Italian sausage appetizer
