DIY Valentine’s Day Envelope Ideas
Valentine’s day is this week and I’m getting prepped for the day with these fun and festive DIY Valentine’s day envelope ideas!
One of the staple items being gifted this Valentine’s day are cards. The hubs and I typically keep it simple and exchange some sort of edible gift and a Valentine’s day card. His birthday is the following day, so we don’t tend to overdo Valentine’s day too much. That doesn’t mean I can’t have a little fun creating neat gifts and unique cards. I found a super cute card this year and ended up purchasing it. The envelope, however, is seriously a snoozefest. So, I decided to come up with some cute ways to make the Valentine’s day card envelope a bit more festive.
Each of these ideas take only a few minutes to create, but show your special someone that you took some time to make their card extra special. Choose the best way to update your Valentine’s day envelopes based on the person. Have a glam buddy or friend? Then the DIY Rhinestone envelope may be more up their alley. Give your quirky, fun friends a DIY honeycomb envelope. Have a classy hubs like me? Then the DIY Valentine’s Day hearts envelope may be perfect one for them.
DIY Honeycomb Envelope
To make the DIY honeycomb envelope, I snipped off a honeycomb from some garland I found at target. You can get the garland there for a couple dollars! The garland has 14 honeycombs on it, so you can decorate a couple envelopes or use all the honeycombs to decorate your child’s classroom Valentine’s day cards. Snip the ribbon from the honeycomb ball garland and apply the honeycomb to your envelope using the sticky tape it already comes with. Use a paint pen to decorate the borders of your card.
DIY Valentine’s Day Envelope
To create a DIY Valentine’s day heart envelope, use a paint pen or marker to create as many hearts on the envelope. Then, use a black pen to outline each heart. It looks more artistic if you make the outlines a bit off centered of the heart. Cover the entire envelope with hearts or just a corner. The possibilities and colors are endless! Be sure to allow the paint to dry before making the black heart outlines.
DIY Rhinestone Envelope
The DIY rhinestone envelopes remind me so much of my eldest daughter. At 18, she has practically blinged out everything she owns. She showed up last week from college with pink glittery loafers! I have no idea where she found them, but leave it up to her to track down anything glittered and blinged out. To create this DIY rhinestone envelope idea, simply glue on pink rhinestones to your envelope using a glue stick or glue gun.
Wishing you all a great Valentine’s day and love-filled week!
