DIY Tribal Gift Tags
My sister and I have an unspoken competition when it comes to Christmas gift wrapping. We each try to outdo the previous year’s gift wrapping ideas and each other. It may have started when we were kids participating in gift wrapping station fundraisers. You can’t deny that a beautifully wrapped gift makes you excited to open the gift and see the contents. Christmas is a time when you can create beautifully wrapped gifts without a lot of hassle. These DIY Tribal gift tags are quick and easy to create just like my painted gift boxes.
I used a pack of neutral gift tags along with paint markers to create unique tribal patterns on each of the tags. You can create multiple patterns or repeat the same pattern on each gift tag. I prefer the mix and match feel. Notice that I also used my Christmas color scheme of pink, teal, and blue to create the tags as well. These are similar colors used in the DIY mud cloth inspired wood Christmas trees in my living room and family room.
The paint markers dry pretty quickly so you can use a small clothes pin or ribbon to attach to your gift. I’m using these super glittery clothes pins I found at Joann Fabrics. A little seeded eucalyptus and by gift is ready to go! I opted to use fabric instead of gift wrap for this gift idea. Not only is it more sustainable than paper, but the recipient can frame the fabric to create easy art.

I’m so enjoying how you are using your color palette with all your holiday decor and DIYs! The tribal gift tags are beautiful and I love the fabric and stems you used. I almost used Japanese fabric this year. lol (I couldn’t find any that I liked…)
