Ornament making is such a fun way to celebrate the holidays and today is a special treat that you can do with the kiddos! These DIY macaron ornaments were a great addition to Chi-Chi’s sweet treat themed Christmas tree and it only took a few minutes to make. Now, these are showcased for Christmas but they would make such a cute party activity or favor for a Paris themed birthday party… which was my original intention but fortunate for me the supplies arrived late for Chi-Chi’s birthday party. Here is how you can create these sweet DIY macaron ornaments this week!
How to make DIY Macaron Ornaments
These easy DIY ornaments don’t require too many materials, but one that is necessary is a bag of macaron shaped containers I purchased from Amazon. They are actually well priced to the amount of ornaments you can create and it makes this DIY project such an easy craft that anyone can do.
Materials for DIY Macaron Ornaments
- Macaron containers
- Ribbon
- Scissors
- Hot Glue
- Glitter

- Create the hanger for the ornament
Start by separating the macaron container and hot gluing a cut and looped piece of ribbon inside the macaron.
- Seal the macaron container and add sparkle!
Close the container and use hot glue around the center white area. Work in small areas adding glitter to the glue while its hot.
- Shake off glitter access and clean ornament of any stray glue stings.
