DIY Colorful Wrapped Pampas Grass

You may have seen these beautiful diy colorful wrapped pampas grass on my Instagram, but they were too good not to share on the site. This project was such an easy to bring in color and fall touches to our family room.

I was inspired by the color wrapped wheat idea from Inspired By Charm, but wanted to take the color up a notch. The entire idea only takes a few minutes, but boy does it make a mess if you don’t prep the pampas grass.

Pampas grass can be found in most floral and craft stores if you don’t have any growing wild. In either case, you may want to spray them with a little hair spray to avoid all the shedding that occurs with pampas grass.

How to add color to pampas grass

To make your colorful wrapped pampas grass, you’ll need to use various shades of embroidery floss. The entire process is super easy that it really doesn’t take too long to create. Simply wrap the embroidery floss around the stem of the pampas grass and secure with a dot of glue. I used a glue gun to keep it all in place.
