Have you refreshed your deck yet? Check out these boho chic small deck decorating ideas!
The kids are finally out! No more early mornings. No more lunch boxes. No more homework and kids’ projects…… well, until Summer camp starts. This will be the first year the kids will be participating in summer camps and that means I’ll be outside enjoying the hot weather with cocktails! Before any of that starts, my deck needed a big time makeover. Cue the boho chic small deck decorating!
Before we get into all the fun after photos, I wanted to share that I’m joining a few awesome ladies in sharing outdoor decor ideas. Be sure to visit these super talented bloggers after you check out my revamped boho chic small deck seating area.
Our deck went through a bit of changes over the last months. The glass on our dining table shattered into a million pieces and it’s been impossible to find a replacement glass table top that didn’t cost the same price as a new dining table. We ended up ordering a new outdoor dining table and it’ll be here soon. YAY! I’m so excited to share that outdoor dining space with you. Until then, I’ve decorated the deck seating area with a fresh coat of boho style. Here’s how the deck looked before and then keep scrolling to see how you can complete your own boho chic small deck decorating this week.
Boho Chic Outdoor Decorating
I kept the seating area pretty simple since the deck is small. Having too much furniture or pieces that are too large will make the deck feel smaller and limit your entertaining area. With the addition of some new decor and plants, I have a boho chic seating area ready to be enjoyed this season.
A rug helps section off areas and make the space look larger by creating zones. This awesome rug is from the Opalhouse line at Target and has amazing colors for a chic deck.
What gives any space boho vibes? PLANTS! I used large terra cotta planters from Target and filled them with some new tropical plant babies. Gold plant stands are also a must for this new patio space. They’re not only great place for plants, but can also be side tables for snacks and drinks too!
A couple pillows make the whole area comfy and adds color to the deck. As soon as the dining area is set, we’ll bring in my favorite color…TEAL! The deck is set for some relaxing afternoons…. well, at least this side of the deck is. I’m ready to celebrate summer and hopefully the dining table arrives on time to finish off the deck. Stay tuned for part 2 of the deck refresh by the way.
Well, I’m off to work on the front of the house. It is a catastrophe out there! Don’t forget to head over to check out more outdoor deck ideas by the lovely ladies listed below. Please pin this post to your outdoor decorating Pinterest board and share with your friends too! Happy Decorating!

As always, looks fabulous and boho. I’m very jelly of your plant game, and these look like a great mix for all the patterns and shapes you’ve got going on.
