Best Candles that smell like a vacation from Bath and body works

It’s starting to feel more like summer these days! The hot weather and longer days have made those wonderful vacation dreams stream into my mind. The summer vacation time is really close but we still have about a month left before the kids finish school here in Maryland.

But, no worries!

I took a trip to White Barn Candle, the Bath & Body Works candle company, recently and went on a scent induced vacation daydream with some of their latest candle scents. I found a few candles that transport you to a fabulous vacation with its scents and I just had to share!

Best Candles for the Tropical Fruit Lovers

I spent about an hour simply smelling practically all the candles in the store. Some of my favorite candles were the ones with notes of tropical fruit. Here were my favorite choices.

• Island Papaya: I think any candle with coconut notes instantly feels like a tropical scent. This candle adds a soft note of papaya and sugarcane on top of the coconut for a transformative experience. This candle made me feel like I was taking in the ocean views while enjoying a fruity cocktail on the beach. This was definitely one of my favorite candles of the bunch.
• Sweet Red Mango: This candle has a soft, sweet smell of mango, peach and a hint of pineapple. As soon as I smelled it, I was transported to a Caribbean fruit market filled with fresh, juicy fruits.
• Pink Pineapple Sunrise: This candle makes me feel like I’m sipping a tropical smoothy and watching the sunrise. It’s a soft, citrus smell of pineapples and sugar.

Best Candles For the Beach Lover

When shopping for candles, I love to buy a few different varieties since some days I may want a fruity aroma while other days I may want to be transported to the beach. Here is the best candle I found for the beach lover.

• Blue Bungalow: Not only do I absolutely adore the candle jar wrapping for this candle, but it also has an entire beach vacation vibe all in one candle scent. It feels like you are seated on a wicker beach seat enjoying the cool coastal breeze while you read your latest book obsession. This candle has a very delicate musk and notes of eucalyptus which enhances the, and I don’t know how Bath & Body Works has managed to do this, aroma of salty beach water!
• Bronze Sunset: (not pictured) I didn’t purchase this candle as I had already several in my cart, but it was a very close second. This candle is more of a tropical oasis beach day compared to the blue bungalow candle which reminded me more a coastal beach. The candle has a more forward coconut scent mixed with a soft musk which gives it a tropical oasis aroma.

Best Candle for the Tropical Resort Lover

If you’re looking for a candle that smells like you’ve taken the first flight directly to a luxe tropical resort, then you’re in the right section. Tropical resorts are super popular, especially in the summer, as they include not only the best ocean views, but also an amazing luxurious experience start to finish. This candle will make you feel like you’ve just been handed a glass of champagne to kick off a week long resort getaway.

• Passionfruit & Banana Flower: You’ll love the soft scents of passionfruit and banana flower in this candle. The delicate scents of this delicious candle will have you feeling like you’ve entered a tropical resort retreat. This would be a perfect candle to grab and add to your bedroom as well as the guest room.
• Ebony Sands: (not pictured) This candle has a more woodsy aroma perfect for those wanting the tropical resort in the middle of a tropical forest sensation. You’ll find aromas of ebony wood, tobacco leaves, and warm tonka.

Yep, that five-star resort spa is calling my name. I’ve found the best candle for the best resort spa day vibes and you’re gonna want this candle and the room spray for sure.

• Yuzu and White Pineapple: This candle is a complete tropical relaxing retreat in one candle. You’ll be transported immediately to a tropical spa yourself with it’s notes of pineapple, yuzu, and starfruit. I was so enamored with this scent that I bought the room spray too!
