Beautiful White Christmas Tree with Green Ornaments
I’m so excited to be bringing back the Christmas Tree hop this year! I took a break last year with this series, but we are back and I’ve invited some friends to join me in sharing their beautiful Christmas trees this year. This year, I’m sharing a beautiful white Christmas tree with green ornaments inspired by Chi-Chi’s new adventures with the Girl Scouts.
Be sure to stop by each of the wonderful blogs sharing their Christmas tree ideas today by clicking on their sites at the end of this post. THEY ARE FABULOUS!
Last year I decided to start the tradition of decorating a Christmas tree in the kids’ rooms. Now, this isn’t just any tree. I wanted to create a Christmas tree that was inspired by their interests that year. I shared my son’s Harry Potter Christmas tree earlier this week inspired by his love of the series this year.
Chi-Chi’s Sweet Treat Christmas tree theme last year was all about her sweet tooth and she adored it so much that she wanted it up alllll year long! Chi-Chi joined the Girl Scouts this year and has been enjoying everything about the organization! So, it was fitting to create a Christmas tree inspired by the Girl Scouts this year.
How to Make an Ornament Cluster to Decorate a Christmas Tree
Have you heard of ornament clusters? Well, they have been growing in popularity as a way to decorate Christmas trees. It is very easy to do and can add more dimension to your tree as well. Here’s how I created the ornament clusters to decorate Chi-Chi’s Christmas tree.
- Cut 6-8 inches of floral wire.
- Hold wire in a U shape and add 3-4 ornaments to the floral wire.
- Gather the ornaments in the center of the wire then twist the wire a few times to secure in place.
- Twist the cluster of ornaments to the Christmas tree branch.
To create a garland of ornament clusters, add several of the clusters you made above and wrap around the tree to make a garland effect.
White Christmas Tree with Green Ornaments
After adding the ornament clusters, I wanted a bit more green and thought the faux ivy plants were perfect for this tree. Not only is it also green to match her Girl Scout uniform, but it’s a nice representation of the outdoor camping activities coming her way.
Don’t forget about the spaces in between the ornament clusters! I added shimmery white icicles to fill the spaces between the ornaments and ivy for added glimmer. The lights of the Christmas tree make these icicles sparkle so beautifully!
The pearl Christmas trees I scored from Michael’s last year has made another appearance this year. These trees look so great with shimmer of the tree. Chi-Chi was so excited to see her room after school and especially all the sparkle of these trees.
I’m so glad I started my Christmas decor with the kids’ rooms this year. Their smiles have made Christmas decorating so much fun and they are so thankful for the Christmas cheer. I got so many hugs when I revealed their trees and can’t wait to finish decorating their rooms. Mom of the year right here!
