3 Things To Repurpose for a Spring Table

Hola amigos y buenos dias!
I hope you have had a great week thus far. I have been busy getting ready for my dining room reveal. This project should have only taken 30 days. It’s not that its been a complete room overhaul, but the kiddos and family have been pulling my attention away from any dining room projects. I have been able to organize bits of areas for Spring. If you follow me on Instagram, I posted a pic of my #upcycled perfume bottle bud vase last week. Well, today I am sharing all the other thrifty and repurposed aspects of my Spring coffee table.

I am leaning toward a cozy coastal cottage feel throughout the house. It not only speaks to my favorite memory, my wedding, but also to one of my best relaxation retreats…the coast. My cozy coastal cottage family room is still in the works. Seriously, I have projects in almost every room of the house that are not completed.

So, lets start with the beautiful tulips in the thrift store ceramic pitcher. The upcycling of pitchers for flower vases is not new; but its such a goodie. I have been waiting for my tulips to bloom and was so happy to see them that I brought them immediately inside. The ivory ceramic pitcher was lined with a zip bag to protect it from water damage. I can’t for the life of me remember where I read that tip, but its a great tip when you don’t have a small vase to insert into your pitcher. This particular pitcher is one of my favorite thrift store purchases. I have been on the lookout for silver pitchers and silver urns. Unfortunately, I have had no luck tracking them down…even on craigslist.

My most interesting upcycled element is the fish net located within the two tiered jug cloche. Let me say, that I was mesmerized by this jug cloche at the thrift store. I haven’t seen anything like this recently, so I just had to buy it for $6.00.

The fish netting was removed from a thrift store purse. I saw the purse and didn’t particularly enjoy the look, but the netting around it was just perfect.

I carefully snipped the netting off the purse being careful not to cut one of the supportive threads. It was a little light in color for me, so I placed it in a bowl filled with coffee grains and water for two days.

Afterward, the netting had that worn in, beachy look. It was fabulous, especially after I added the two starfish. The bottom level of the cloche was filled with two gold curtain tie backs I found while cleaning up the family room. It is amazing what you find behind a couch, lol.

I used another starfish as an accent on the books. Here is a look of the small bud vase that is an upcycled Davidoff Cool Water perfume bottle. It took some patience to get the spray mechanism off of this bottle.

The green glass next to the bud vase was a oil dispenser I found at #HomeGoods. It was only $2.00 and a great find. Overall, I love the look of the coffee table decor. Though it makes me want to move into my family room makeover sooner. There is so much to be done in this room now that all has been resolved from the house fire.
