The final elements of the kitchen are finally coming together.  Picking the right stools for the kitchen was so important and I didn’t want to rush into selecting just any counter stools that wouldn’t meet our needs.  The island has become a place to do homework, eat meals, work on projects, and more.  So, the seating had to be comfortable, stylish, and colorful.

Modern Bohemian Kitchen Stools

I went through a few different options which were all gorgeous.  I played around with different colors, patterns, and shapes.  Some of the websites I searched even had an app feature that would place the stools in the kitchen with augmented reality!  How cool is that?!

In the end, I posted two options on my Instagram stories for you all to vote for.  The velvet and gold counter stools from Wayfair came in teal and orange.  These are literally my two favorite colors to decorate with so you know it was a very difficult decision to just choose one.  I almost ordered half in orange and half in teal since the decision was too hard to make.

Though the popular vote on instagram was for teal counter stools,  I wasn’t sure if the counter stools’ teal velvet fabric would match that of the velvet dining room chairs.  I’m okay with different shades of teal, but in this instance it was a gamble I wasn’t willing to make.

The orange velvet balanced the two toned kitchen and provided a great transition from the white quartz countertop to the vinyl plank flooring.  (See how to install luxury vinyl plank flooring on your own!)  The cross stitching on the back of the stools is also super chic.  It’s much more pleasing to the eye and the kitchen especially when all the stools are pushed in.  Now all I need is a great runner and we are all done.
