Boho Chic Craft Room and Office Reveal

My boho chic office and craft room reveal! My New Year New Room Refresh Challenge makeover is done!

After 4 weeks of working on my basement boho chic craft room/office, it’s finally reveal day!  I’m so happy to have this space completed.  3 years ago, I decided that I needed a workspace and began transforming the unfinished basement room with the help of a family friend.  After some unforeseen issues involving tearing down a newly built wall to replace our water heater and our friend’s unrelated back injury, we halted work in the room and it sat there unfinished for the last 3 years.  With a plan in place (see week 1week 2, week 3, week 4), I’ve completed this space perfect for some mom time and crafting just in time for MY BIRTHDAY!

Instead of going on and on about the process, let’s get right to the photos!  As a reminder, be sure to visit all the wonderful room reveals today and we welcome you to share your own reveals at the end of this post.

As you can see, I haven’t added the baseboards yet.  Once the last bit of the wall is repaired, I’ll be adding that last touch to the room.  I’m loving the wall macrame organizer for planning out blog posts as well a visual for my inspiration photos.  Stay tuned for the tutorial on this wall macrame organizer (update: See the DIY Macrame Organizer tutorial).  The pink sunset art was also a DIY project where I used an old art piece that I no longer wanted.  Instead of tossing out your old art, just repaint it into something new that fits your color scheme.

I hung a blue curtain to cover up the missing utility wall.  Hopefully this will be a quick project to tackle soon.  The curtain adds to the pops of navy around the room and incorporates the newly painted cabinet.  I’m thinking of painting this chalkboard collapsable table a pop of orange or shade of pink.  It’s so white against the Erica Wakerly navy and white wallpaper.  Any suggestions for paint color?

Overall, this truly has made my dream of having a workspace come true.  I can’t wait to get crafting in this space!  I’ll be sharing more about my craft room organization soon.  I’m still running around the house collecting all the supplies I’ve stashed in corners, boxes, and my bedroom.  There is finally a space to organize it all.
